WIP: picovoli with lace

Despite the lack of blogging there has in fact been knitting going on! And also yarn acquisition, always fun.

So my Picovoli is sooo nearly finished, and it fits great and I can't wait to wear it! Right now it looks like this:

With lovely lace detail I have added under the arms:

I am such a fan of the raglan shaping, and being able to try this on from the top down means it fits really well. You'll see, soon!

I was in Mahone Bay with the lovely CK early last week and we visited Have a Yarn, which had a great selection of Fleece Artist and some interesting yarns with possum in them from New Zealand. We each picked up a one of a kind skein of FA. Mine is the apparently discontinued Special Leba (says Ravelry) in wine:

Gorgeous. It's 65% kid mohair, 20% wool, 15% nylon, 425 m and a hefty 250 grams. A lovely heavier weight stole waiting to happen, methinks. Hanami would be lovely and is purported to be super well written, plus popular of course.

One more for the road:

And hopefully there will be a nice FO shot in the next few days. Happy knitting!
