WIPs: Spiral Scarf / Petrie tank

Here's a pretty WIP photo of my spiral scarf, just so you know I've been working on it:

Three hexagons down!

The new Knitty is up, and even though it's super simple I was attracted to the Petrie tank with its mature boat neck shaping at the top, so I swatched with some Elann Nilo I ordered last year with thoughts of summery tops.

I'm using 4s instead of 6s, which makes sense since I usually need to go down two needle sizes. Also instead of working this in two pieces I'm knitting it in the round and thinking about purling a st on each side to create a faux side seam. Also I find that when I knit a 36 bust size if there's no waist shaping the lower hem isn't comfortable around my hips, so I cast on for the 40 inch size at the hip and will decrease a bit into the waist. Yay, mods. This yarn is lovely because it is olive green with a strand of a subtle bronzy thread wrapped around the cotton. I think it'll hold up well and be a bit dressy in this simple pattern.
